Todd and Julie Chrisley have reported to begin serving their prison terms
Julie Chrisley and Todd Chrisley have reported to jail to start completing their lengthy terms.
The two reportedly surrendered to police at two different places. Reports indicate that Todd has checked into Florida’s FPC Pensacola to begin his a 12-year sentence at the minimum-security prison. While everything was going on, his wife Julie showed up at the Federal Medical Center Lexington in Lexington, Kentucky.
When Todd was given a sentence of 12 years in prison and Julie was given a seven-year term, the reality stars who had previously been on USA Network’s Chrisley Knows Best learned of their sentences at the end of November 2022. A jury convicted Julie and Todd guilty of tax evasion and bank fraud; in addition to their jail sentences, they were each sentenced to 16 months of probation.
During their tenure on Chrisley Knows Best, Julie and Todd allegedly hid millions of dollars in earnings from the Internal Revenue Service after they were caught forging paperwork to secure multimillion-dollar bank loans.
Peter Tarantino, the couple’s accountant, was found guilty of conspiracy to defraud the United States for wilfully filing fraudulent tax returns with Todd and Julie. Tarantino’s sentence of three years in prison is quite light compared to that of the Chrisleys.
Julie and Todd sought to appeal the decision made following their sentence in November, but the court rejected their motion, forcing them to take the next stage in the legal process—reporting to prison.
Julie celebrated her 50th birthday with her loved ones and got a touching social media tribute from her daughter Savannah Chrisley before she and her husband were taken into custody.
