The Witcher season 3 will make its debut in mid-2023
Fans of The Witcher, listen up! Netflix has disclosed that the premiere of The Witcher 3 will take place in the middle of 2023. At Tudum 2022, the lead actor of the popular fantasy show on Netflix, Henry Cavill, said that the upcoming installment of The Witcher will make its debut on our screens during the summer of 2023. In the winter of 2023, those of you who dwell in the southern hemisphere will finally have access to it. The passage of time and the way things are in general work out this way.
The announcement of the release timeframe comes just a few short weeks after production on the third season of The Witcher was completed. The next installment in the series had spent the previous half year being shot in a variety of places, but the primary photography had wrapped up as of September 12th. The confirmation came from the showrunner, Lauren S. Hissrich, who posted it on her personal Instagram account (opens in a new tab). Hissrich had previously mentioned that preparations for The Witcher’s third season were going to pick up speed in the month of December 2021.
The date on which The Witcher 3 will be made available to watch online has not yet been decided. If the launch window is set for the summer of 2023, this indicates that the product could arrive anytime between June and September of the following year. We would be quite astonished if it was not delivered to us until the latter half of the summer, which would be either August or September 2023, given the massive amount of post-production work that will have to be completed. That will mean that it will be close to two years after the second season of The Witcher made its debut, but it won’t surpass the two-year wait we experienced between seasons 1 and 2, the release of the latter being delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
There is a significant amount of additional Witcher news for you to catch up on while we wait for the new season to be published. Check out some of the new characters that will be joining The Witcher in its upcoming third season, which will premiere on our screens next year. Among them are former cast members of the Prime Video series Upload and the Marvel Studios character Shang-Chi. Alternatively, you may familiarize yourself with these five fantasy dramas that are worth viewing before The Witcher captivates us with its new season. The revelation that launch window for The Witcher season 3 has been revealed comes right on the heels of the announcement that the spin-off show Blood Origin has been given an official premiere date of Tudum 2022.
