The Quarry is a narrative-driven interactive horror adventure game in which players take turns assuming control of a variety of individuals in an effort to make it through the night.

The Quarry: What Are Quick Time Events?

During the course of the tale that is being told, there will be points at which you will be required to make decisions that might have an impact on how your character grows as well as how the plot unfolds.

Your performance in the game’s Quick Time Events (also known as QTEs) will also determine whether or not a branch is added to the main narrative.

These are sequences (or minigames) that need you to press a specified button or key, or a certain input command that contains numerous buttons or keys, in order to proceed. Quick Time Events (QTEs) are brief, yet they have a significant impact on the direction your tale will take.

The quick time events (QTEs) found in The Quarry might be difficult to comprehend and navigate without this guidance.

Quick Time Events in the Quarry

The Quick Time Events (QTE) mechanisms in The Quarry are not too complicated when compared to those in most other games. The game will instruct you in advance on how to use both of the analog sticks, which is something you will be doing most of the time while progressing through the story.

It’s possible that the left or right analog stick will appear on your screen during a Quick Time Event (QTE) in The Quarry. You’ll be prompted to carry out a certain input instruction through the analog stick by means of geometric forms.

For illustration purposes, an analog stick may indicate a bigger circle approaching a smaller circle from a closer distance. This indicates the order in which your input will be processed. When the bigger circle has reached the middle, the analog stick will display an arrow pointing in the desired direction. In order to complete the quick time event (QTE), you must point your analog stick in that particular direction while the timer is running.

Just keep in mind that the button that normally corresponds to the analog stick appears in The Quarry. Players of the PlayStation who are using a DualSense or DualShock controller are likely to have it confused with the circle (O) button on their controllers.

In addition to this, there will be instances when a quick time event may appear out of nowhere. These unpredictable occurrences might take you by surprise. If you fail to complete a QTE, there may be unintended repercussions. You run the risk of putting one of the characters to death. When playing The Quarry, you need thus be prepared at all times to move the analog sticks.

    What is Simple QTE?

From the accessibility menu, you may activate the Simple QTE option if the usual Quick Time Events (QTEs) are too difficult for you to manage or if you just like a more relaxed experience overall. If the Simple QTE mode is on, you can push any button without the QTE being affected in any way.

Increasing the Choice Timer is another strategy that may be used to make the Quick Time Events simpler. When the Choice Timer is extended, players are given a longer window of opportunity to make the best choice when it really counts. You may pause the game and take all the time you need to choose the appropriate input if you need an unspecified amount of extra time.
