THE ORIGINAL SCREAM HOUSE IS ON AIRBNB FOR JUST $5
Ghostface doesn’t need to ask if you enjoy horror films because you clearly do. Most likely, you and your friends have plans to rewatch every Scream movie this Halloween season, but what if you could do it while living at the original Scream house on Airbnb? You’re in luck, since Airbnb is hosting the original Scream house for three overnight stays this October, offering horror movie lovers the thrill of a lifetime.

Sheriff Dewey Riley (aka David Arquette) will be your host at the Scream house, so you’ll be in good hands. During a virtual check-in greeting, he will not only be “keeping a watchful eye on guests” but he will also provide his recommendations on how to survive the Scream home. After all, he’s done it before, and according to Airbnb, he’s “certainly developed a knack for escaping Ghostface,” Riley does agree, however, that “horror movies always keep it interesting, for better or for worse,” so you never know what can happen during your visit.
The first step to surviving the Scream house, for anyone wanting for a wicked night of fun with their favourite crew, is to book it as soon as it becomes available. The Scream home is only accessible for three nights — Oct. 27, Oct. 29, and Oct. 31 — at a cost of $5 each night. The $5 stays will be first come, first served, so mark your calendar for Oct. 12 at 1 p.m. ET, when bookings for the Scream house will open at airbnb.com/halloween.

If you are one of the fortunate few who are able to rent the Scream house, you will get the opportunity to tour the residence, which is still furnished as it was in the movies. On the doors, you’ll even notice scratch marks from Ghostface’s knife, as well as the old school phone that he used to call. Any guests who are bold enough to contact Ghostface directly will be able to use the phone. He’ll be there to answer any queries you have, but keep in mind that Ghostface might call you back.
Using the phone may be a terrific way for you to recreate the iconic scene from the film where Casey Becker (Drew Barrymore) receives a phone call from Ghostface for a super charming Insta pic or TikTok video. You can also take pictures in the garage, where Tatum Riley (Rose McGowan) pleaded for her life but did not make it into the sequel.
You and your pals may watch all four Scream movies on VHS in the living room after doing a Scream-inspired photoshoot in your best ‘90s attire. A nostalgic movie marathon is just what you need to get into the Halloween spirit, celebrate Scream’s 25th anniversary, and get ready for the new Scream film’s premiere. During your marathon, there will be plenty of ‘90s goodies to savour, such as Jiffy Pop popcorn, ice cream, and pizza.

Guests will be responsible for their own transportation to and from the Scream home in Northern California, despite the fact that the stay is only $5. Keep in mind that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that anyone who is not completely vaccinated postpone travel plans until they are. During their stay, Airbnb also advises all visitors to follow local COVID-19 requirements. After all, safety is the name of the game, especially with Ghostface on the loose.
If you can’t stay at Scream House, you can still have some spooky fun with Airbnb Online Experiences. Kevin Williamson, the original screenwriter for Scream, will also present a virtual experience in which he will discuss the film’s backstage secrets. He’ll also discuss the upcoming Scream movie, which will be released in January 2022.
