The Old Man Season 1 Episode 4: Synopsis

The Old Man Season 1 Episode 3: Recap
The opening scene of The Old Man Season 1 Episode 3, titled “III,” focuses on Julian Carson, the enigmatic assassin Harold Harper hired to kill Dan Chase. While making excuses to travel to Montana, Chase is getting ready to leave Zoe’s house. Chase is convinced that the CIA is aware of his whereabouts after they stopped at a police checkpoint on their way home from their day’s activities. Concerned for Zoe’s security
Dan invites her to accompany him. Dan’s justifications are quickly recognised by Zoe, and the topic changes, forcing Dan to speak candidly about himself. When Emily calls, she tries unsuccessfully to convince Zoe to believe in Dan and cuts off their conversation.
Young Dan’s arrival at Faraz Hamazad’s camp is described in the flashback scene. Hamzad demands that Dan reassure his wife, Belour, who is the woman we know as Dan’s wife, Abbey Chase, even after Dan convinces Hamzad to let him join the fight against the Russians. It is evident that at some point, Dan and Abbey escaped Hamzad’s camp with Harper’s assistance and made their way to the USA.
