The newest Mozilla Firefox is now faster and runs better on low RAM
Mozilla has released the newest version of Firefox, which includes a number of brand-new features aimed at enhancing productivity and accelerating processes. The browser’s improved printing interface, one of five new improvements coming in version 105(opens in a new tab), will make it easier for users to print the current page, which could be useful for businesses printing individual emails rather than entire threads. Additionally, Mozilla has enhanced trackpad usability, finally catching up to competitors like Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. Instead of using the back and forward buttons to browse between pages in Windows, users can now swipe with two fingers.
In addition to supporting partitioned service workers in third-party situations and conforming to the User Timing L3 protocol, Firefox is now two times faster at finding specific things in lengthy lists. Firefox claims that by employing its own Quantum browser engine, it can “guarantee your data is handled properly and kept private,” in contrast to rival browsers that appear to be based on the open-source Chromium project. According to a post on Mozilla’s website, using Firefox has advantages like the automatic banning of social trackers, crypto mining scripts, and third-party tracking cookies.
Further improvements have been made to Firefox, making it more adept at handling low memory conditions on Windows, less likely to run out of memory on Linux, and more responsive when it does. Mac users will also see better trackpad usability thanks to certain fixes for accidental diagonal scrolling. For computers running Windows 7 or later, macOS 10.12 Sierra or later, and certain versions of Linux, Firefox version 105 is now available for download or update. The Firefox website lists all system requirements in detail. Version 105 for mobile devices has also been released. This version focuses less on adding new features and more on improving technology and structure.
