The name of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 series Moniker has been confirmed
Samsung is set to debut its next-generation Galaxy Watch series in the coming months, and there have already been a number of rumors about the upcoming smartwatches. The official names of the upcoming Galaxy Watch models have been disclosed thanks to data discovered in the Samsung Health app. Samsung has also stated that the Galaxy Watch Classic line may be phased out. For more details, keep reading.
The Galaxy Watch Classic could be phased out by Samsung
It’s worth noting that a Galaxy Watch 5 Classic isn’t mentioned in the Samsung Health app. This leads us to believe that when the Galaxy Watch 5 series is released, the Galaxy Watch Classic series will be phased out. Furthermore, as 9to5Google pointed out, the Galaxy Watch 5 and 5 Pro placeholder photographs (which appear underneath each of the models) use a Galaxy Watch 4 image. This could hint that, like its predecessor, the Galaxy Watch 5 series will have a sporty appearance.
Apart from that, little is known about the next Galaxy Watch 5 series. Samsung may remove the rotating bezel from its upcoming smartwatches, as well as feature a temperature sensor and battery improvements, according to certain reports. It’s also thought to include sapphire glass and titanium construction, which could mean a hefty price tag. The Galaxy Watch 5 series, as well as the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 smartphones, will be released in August. More such verified data is, however, still required. As a result, stay tuned to TechStory for more updates.
When is the Samsung Galaxy Watch Series 5 expected to be released?
The Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 will most likely be released in August 2022 if Samsung keeps to its usual product timetable. While the Samsung Galaxy S22 series will be unveiled on February 9 at the Samsung Unpacked keynote (here’s how to watch Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2022), the company is known for hosting a second significant event in the summer. In August 2021, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 were introduced, along with the official launch of the Galaxy Watch 4. As a result, it’s possible that the Galaxy Watch 5 will be released alongside the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 or another foldable device.
Samsung’s products are routinely leaked or teased in the weeks leading up to a new launch. In other words, as the date approaches, we should have a better sense of when the Galaxy Watch 5 will be released.
