“The Moon Represents My Heart – ‘Gemma Chan’ to cast in Shawn Levy’s Time Traveling Series”
Gemma Chan, star of Netflix’s time-traveling series Eternals, has reportedly signed on to play the lead role. The series is based on Pim WangTechawat’s upcoming debut novel, The Moon Represents My Heart. The concept was created by Shawn Levy for 21 Laps.
As part of 21 Laps’ overall arrangement with Netflix, the novel The Moon Represents My Heart is being turned into a limited series. The British-Chinese family at the centre of the tale has a hidden time-travel capability. After the parents disappear, their son and daughter continue to look for them as they grow older and become adults.
Executive producing the project are Chan, Levy, and Josh Barry from 21 Laps. Project manager Moera Ainai and Senior VP Emily Morris of the studio will be in charge of it.
Chan became well-known for her breakthrough performance in Crazy Rich Asians as Astrid. She starred in the illustrious Marvel Studios movie Eternals from a year ago. She will soon be seen in the sci-fi movies True Love from New Regency and Olivia Wilde’s Don’t Worry Darling, as well as the Apple TV+ series Extrapolations.
