The marriage of Anya Taylor-Joy and Malcom McRae has been guarded secret
Malcom McRae and Anya Taylor-Joy are married behind closed doors.
According to Page Six, the couple tied the knot in a small ceremony at a courthouse in the United States before jetting off to Australia to film the prequel to “Furiosa,” titled “Mad Max: Fury Road.”
When McRae was seen wearing an engagement ring in June while alighting from a private jet in Sydney, Australia, she and the “Queen’s Gambit” star fueled engagement rumours.
After returning to the United States, Taylor-Joy and McRae reportedly intend to hold a grander wedding.
In spite of Fox News’ request for comment, a representative from Taylor-Joy has yet to react.
They first appeared together on the red carpet at Vanity Fair’s Oscar after party in February, but she did not talk about their relationship until an interview with British Vogue’s March issue.
Her spouse overheard her refer to McRae as her “I said to my partner the other day that he was my hobby,” just the other day.
“I’ve finally found someone who will happily sit in silence with me reading. We’re basically 80 years old and 7 at the same time, and it works really well.”
Taylor-Joy acknowledged the challenges of their long-distance relationship, but she found the experience “Yes, it is [difficult], but it’s also kind of great because when you’re together you’re really valuing the time that you have.” because it made them appreciate their time together even more.
She went on to say “Everyday mundane activities are so full of joy. I love going to the petrol station with him and filling up the car and going to get breakfast.”
When Taylor-Joy posted a photo of herself kissing McRae on Valentine’s Day, it was the official start of their relationship on Instagram.
Her now-husband recently shared a photo of the two of them together from the Vanity Fair Oscar party, captioning it with the words “proud” of Taylor-Joy.
He then went on to say, “Don’t know why this Merry or Pippin lookin guy on the left is mean mugging but I’m f-king proud of this girl,”
