“The Last of Us – Neil Druckmann Gives Update on Multiplayer Game”
The remake of The Last of Us was leaked before of its formal announcement, which some expected to coincide with the launch of Naughty Dog’s multiplayer game. That, however, did not occur. Even though he wasn’t quite ready to display it, Naughty Dog Co-President Neil Druckmann spoke about the online title on the Summer Game Fest Live stage.
According to Druckmann.
The success of The Last of Us Part II, which sold over 10 million copies, allowed the studio to expand and produce other games, according to Druckmann. One of them is a standalone multiplayer game that will be “as massive as any of [Naughty Dog’s] single-player games” and even bigger “in certain ways.” It will have an original tale and a brand-new cast of characters. Druckmann also claimed that it was set in a different section of the United States, and the concept art he presented included the Golden Gate Bridge in the background, implying that it is set in the San Francisco Bay Area at least in part. The title is being directed by a number of Uncharted and The Last of Us veterans
However, don’t hold your breath for anything else anytime soon. It won’t be aired until next year, according to Druckmann. Druckmann is also working on a secretive game at Naughty Dog, although he hasn’t said anything about it.
