The official trailer for Prime Video’s upcoming family comedy series The Lake, starring Julia Stiles and Jordan Gavaris, has been released. On Friday, June 17, it will be available for streaming.
Gavaris’ Justin returns to the lake where he spent most of his summer childhood in the video below, which you can watch below. However, he discovers that his evil stepsister now owns their family cottage, setting off an epic sibling battle for ownership.

The Lake: Synopsis
“In the series, Justin, a recently divorced gay man, returns to the lake where he summered as a boy with Billie, the biracial daughter he gave up for adoption,” according to the synopsis. “Justin is hoping that spending the summer with Billie will bring them closer together. Despite this, Justin’s obsession with regaining control of his family cottage from Maisy-May only drives them further apart. It will take a lot of maturation for everyone, including the Iron Lady of the Lake, Maisy, to figure out how they fit into a family.”

Jordan Gavaris (Orphan Black), Julia Stiles (10 Things I Hate About You), and Madison Shamoun will star in Amazon Studios’ first scripted Canadian original series, The Lake (Black-ish). Terry Chen, Travis Nelson, Natalie Lisinska, Jon Dore, Carolyn Scott, and Declan Whaley will be joining them.
