The jackpot for the Powerball game has risen to $610 million
The prize for the Powerball lottery keeps getting bigger and bigger.
Powerball’s record-breaking sixth-largest jackpot was hit on Wednesday, raising the total to an estimated $610 million. A $434.2 million cash option was also included in the massive prize pool.
The projected $253 million Mega Millions prize, including a $175.6 million cash option, will be drawn on Tuesday night.
The drawing on Monday night resulted in no winners. The winning numbers were: 02, 13, 32, 33, 48, and 22.
Tickets for $2 million were sold in Montana, while those worth $1 million each were sold in Connecticut and Texas during the drawing on Monday night.
In over three months, no one has won the Powerball jackpot. It was last won in California on October 4, 2021 by a single ticket. Powerball’s fifth-largest jackpot was $699.8 million.
The total odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292 million, according to Powerball.
An annuity, which is paid out over 29 years in 30 equal instalments, is an option for jackpot winners who want to receive their reward in a lump amount.
