The guest list for Adele’s ‘One Night Only’ concert was a who’s who of A-listers
Adele’s ‘One Night Only’ concert had a who’s who of A-listers on the guest list. Adele’s comeback was attended by Selena Gomez, Lizzo, and other celebs.
Adele’s CBS special had more stars in the aisles than there are in the skies over Los Angeles. Adele One Night Only saw the 33-year-old singer hit the stage at Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles, singing for an A-list crowd that included Gabrielle Union, her husband Dwyane Wade, and James Corden, to name a few. In an Entertainment Weekly preview special, Tyler Perry revealed, “I flew all across the nation simply to be here.” The host of the Late Late Show gushed about the event as well. “What an amazing evening,” Corden exclaimed. But that was only the start.
Go easy on us, #ADELE is singing “Easy On Me” for the first time to a LIVE audience and we are not ok.

As the program progressed, it became evident that the whole city of Hollywood had packed into the Griffith Observatory to witness Adele perform. Seth Rogen was in the front row, as was his bestie Nicole Richie, as well as Selena Gomez, Gayle King, Ellen DeGeneres, Gordon Ramsay, Sarah Paulson, Melissa McCarthy, Donald Glover, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Ava DuVernay, and yes, Leonardo DiCaprio!
We knew there was another powerful talent in the audience even before the show aired. Lizzo is seen standing on her feet in the trailer, clad in an attractive smoke-colored feathery costume. “Also, get you, Lizzo,” Adele says to the singer of “Rumors.” “Babes, you’re going to outshine me.” There will be plenty of smart banter and some of Adele’s usual comedy, she says. “It’ll appear to be very sophisticated, and then I’ll tell a bunch of filthy jokes.” Adele told Oprah Winfrey, who interviewed Lizzo for the two-hour special, “It’ll be like whiplash for them.”
Adele One Night Only featured the “Hello” singer performing songs from her past as well as a sneak peeks at her next album, 30. Adele told Oprah, “You’ll hear a lot of older songs and then four new ones.” She also talked about how the Griffith Observatory was the ideal venue for this “reunion” concert. “It’s also being in LA, where I’ve had to sort of recouping from everything that’s happened in my life over the last five years. It was the ideal performance.”
What does Adele mean when she says “everything that happened throughout my life”? She is most likely referring to the end of her marriage to Simon Konecki. After three years of marriage, the pair announced their separation in April 2019. Adele remarked of her divorce, “It was long overdue.” “It was exhausting, but I was able to take the time that I needed, which isn’t something that everyone has.” That’s something I’m well aware of.” Adele, who has a 9-year-old son with Simon named Angelo Adkins, has stated that her next album will depict “my side” of the narrative. “I’ve learned a lot more than I ever have in the last few years,” she remarked. The number 30 will be released on November 19th.
