Netflix has released a nearly two-minute trailer from Joe and Anthony Russo’s highly anticipated action film The Gray Man. On July 15, the film will be released in select cinemas, with its streaming launch on July 22.

The Gray Man: Synopsis
The Gray Man is based on Mark Greaney’s 2009 novel and follows Court Gentry, a freelance assassin and former CIA operative. He has been forced to become a fugitive as a result of his own agency’s betrayal. The action thriller adaption is billed as a deadly fight between killers, with Gentry being pursued around the world by Lloyd Hansen, a former CIA colleague of Gentry’s.

The Gray Man clip, which you can watch below, includes the first meeting between Court Gentry and Lloyd Hansen, played by Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans, as they strive to outsmart one other. Dani Miranda, played by Ana de Armas, is also in the cast, and she uses a tranquillizer on Lloyd.
The Gray Man: Cast
Ana de Armas, Jessica Henwick, Wagner Moura, Alfre Woodard, Regé-Jean Page, Billy Bob Thornton, Julia Butters, Dhanush, Scott Haze, Calla Mulvey, Eme Ikwuakor, Michael Gandolfini, Sam Lerner, Robert Kazinsky, and DeObia Oparei will join Gosling and Evans in the film.
The Gray Man is directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, who also helmed Avengers: Endgame. Joe Russo wrote the script, which was “polished” by AGBO’s Co-Presidents of Story and Marvel Cinematic Universe writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. The goal of the project is to build a “James Bond-level” franchise with a rumoured budget of more than $200 million.
