The frightening video shot by Aaron Carter just four days before his sad death
The news of Aaron Carter’s untimely death at the age of 34 has sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry, and as time passes, more information about the tragedy emerges. Carter’s history of mental illness is well-documented, and a video he live broadcast on November 1 has sparked concern due to footage showing him in a distressed state while babbling.
Carter, who is seen in the video while wearing a hoodie and a white cap, raps what could be song lyrics or some other kind of cryptic message. At the beginning of the video, he talks to who appears to be his mother and wishes her and his supporters a good Halloween.
Carter may be seen in the video riding in the RV that was stopped by Los Angeles police on suspicion of DUI. However, it was later revealed that Carter was in fact sober. However, the following clip is the one that has caused the most confusion among his followers:
Carter’s speech is slurred, but you can make out lines like “Show me if you ever trusted him” and “My mom told me never to trust him.” followed by a slew of utterances that don’t make sense.
At least beginning in 2008, his drug abuse caused him legal and medical trouble on multiple occasions. In addition to his 2017 arrest, he discussed his struggles with substance abuse on the health-focused syndicated talk show The Doctors in September of that year.
He opened up about his struggles with mental illness and DUI in a 2019 interview with Entertainment Tonight. His brother Nick eventually got a restraining order against him, which took a few weeks. In September of last year, he booked himself into treatment for the fifth time in an effort to win back custody of his then 10-month-old son, Prince.
“I decided to enroll in that program. This will be my fifth time in rehab, mainly to deal with aftercare,” she explained. “There have been no relapses. I haven’t had any relapses … it’s just the triggers are big right now for me. You know, so, I just, I just, I want my son back.”
