When the Boys Find Soldier Boy, What Happens?
The Boys: Synopsis
Soldier Boy and the Boys had their first encounter in a hidden laboratory full of Russian soldiers in the “Glorious Five Year Plan” episode. Soldier Boy had a few appearances in Season 3 of The Boys, but none in the timelines of the other protagonists. Soldier Boy was resting in a refrigerating room with a mask on his face in Episode 4. Soldier Boy began firing energy bolts from his chest as Butcher awoke him from his pod. The explosion came within inches of reaching Frenchie (Tomer Kapon), who was saved at the last second by Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara). None of the team members were successful in stopping the World War II hero, who later escaped the institution where he was held. Soldier Boy’s abilities appear to be dangerous for other Supes, as Kimiko was unable to recover from the blast.
Soldier Boy had previously made his debut appearance in a phoney video from The Boys Season 3’s second episode, when Frenchie and Kimiko visited VoughtLand. They realised that he hails from a low-income family at that time. Grace Mallory (Laila Robins) also revealed various anecdotes of Soldier Boy, who was a key figure in one of the CIA’s operations in Nicaragua, Operation Charlie. According to Mallory’s memories, the superpowered man didn’t appear to be concerned about others.
