The Balenciaga credit card earrings that Kim Kardashian is wearing cost $425
The 41-year-old reality star made an appearance on Good Morning America on September 20 to promote the second season of The Kardashians on Hulu, but it is not her interview that is generating all the buzz. Many people are irritated with Kim because her $425 Balenciaga earrings seem like credit cards dangling from her ears. They vented their frustrations on Twitter. A voice said, “Kim, whatever those earrings are, no matter what they cost, just take them off and throw them away!!” Someone else said her awful earrings were an attempt to draw attention away from what they called “her awful hair.” Ouch!
Kim wore the earrings with a long-sleeved black turtleneck top and a pair of orange and black animal-print Balenciaga boots that morphed into high-waisted slacks; nevertheless, not everyone found the look repulsive. A supporter wrote, “Kim Kardashian, you are so pretty,” next to a video of her interview. “and I love your new hairdo.” Kim’s hair was styled in a ponytail with the same half-tuck that has become her signature look. She appeared to be letting her bleach blonde hairstyle, which she debuted in May, grow out, revealing her black heritage.
Despite the fact that many people have voiced their dislike of Kim’s clothing and earrings, it is likely that she does not give a hoot. Kim spoke up on how she manages the pressure of being a public figure during an interview with GMA co-host Michael Strahan. She added that things have been less difficult because “you just get to a level where you see that so much of it is noise and we have each other — we have us as a support system.”
“I couldn’t do it without my family just because when there’s, maybe, a little too much noise, everyone’s there to be like, ‘Okay, we know what’s real. We know what’s happening. This doesn’t matter. Let’s all just come back to what we know,’” the mother of four continued.
Though she values having a support system in her family, Kim has promised that viewers of the upcoming season of The Kardashians would see her stepping out on her own more.
