The Bachelor season 27 will premiere next week. In the upcoming season of the ABC show, thirty women will compete for the affection of Zach Shallcross. He’s going to start sending people home once a week until there’s only one left. Charity Lawson, a 26-year-old child and family therapist from Columbus, Georgia, is one of the contestants in The Bachelor season 27 who will compete for the Final Rose. Her areas of expertise include working with people who have experienced trauma, disorders in child development, anxiety, veterans, couples, and families.

Georgia-based child and family therapist Charity Lawson earned her doctorate in psychology from Auburn. She completed her undergraduate work in the fields of science, rehabilitation, and disability and her graduate work in education, MEd, and clinical mental health counseling at the same university. Charity took an active role in many activities during her time at the university, including serving as a volunteer and mentor for the Eagles Program, which was created to support students with intellectual disabilities.
The Bachelor contestant also participated in an anti-hunger mission by volunteering in the Auburn Campus Kitchen, where she delivered recycled meals to the poor. Charity’s first internship was with The Mint Julep Boutique, LLC, where she worked as an inventory lead associate. In 2018, she was a camp counselor for Full Life Ahead and an intern at Auburn University’s Bravehearts Center for Place and Purpose. The contestant from The Bachelor season 27 works as an intern at the Tri-County CAC in Alabama as a therapist for children.
Charity is successful in her career, and she feels she is now ready to find love. The mental health practitioner dreams of retiring to Walt Disney World, where he or she can live out their love of The Notebook. On The Bachelor season 27, she says she and Zach Shallcross seem like a “perfect match on paper.” The future Mrs. ABC wants her future Mr. ABC to be honest, loyal, and have the same morals as her.
