Tesla Model Y is in the Top 10 best-selling vehicles in the United States
In terms of sales in the United States, the Tesla Model Y is among the top 10 vehicles. In 2022, it sold about 251,000 units in the United States, placing it sixth overall. During the year 2022, Model Y sales increased by 32.4% year over year, as reported by data firm Motor Intelligence.
The Tesla Model Y came in at number seven, ahead of such notable automobiles as the GMC Sierra, Honda CR-V, Toyota Tacoma, and Jeep Grand Cherokee. Executives at Tesla, including CEO Elon Musk, have consistently expressed optimism about the Model 3’s prospects. Even though the Model Y has not yet become the best-selling car in the world, as was predicted, there is still time for that to happen in the years ahead.
The demand for Tesla Model Y must keep rising. It’s already off to a good start with its practical size and crossover design, which appeal to a wide range of American consumers. It comes as no surprise that Tesla is so highly regarded; according to Michelle Krebs of Cox Automotive, “The brand, despite all the news and stuff, still dominates the EV market, and it dominates the luxury market.” “A lot of that strength comes from the Model Y.”
This list is dominated by pickup trucks, with Ford’s F-Series being the best-selling car in the United States in 2018. After the Ford F-150, the Chevrolet Silverado and the Ram pickup tied for third place. Sales of all three of these vehicles fell last year, with Ford’s pickup falling by 9.9 percent. Ram pickups, however, took the biggest hit, down 17.7 percent.
