Teen rapper Kay Flock arrested in Harlem barbershop shooting
According to officials, a teenage shooter shot and killed a guy outside a barbershop in Harlem. He is now facing murder charges.
Kevin Perez, 18, was arrested and charged on Thursday with the murder of Oscar Hernandez, 24, on December 16.
On Amsterdam Avenue at W. 151st Street, Hernandez was waiting for a haircut soon before 10 a.m, when he was approached by a man.
Sources said Perez approached Hernandez and asked him what he was looking at when he walked by.
Police say Hernandez confronted him outdoors. Perez began to walk away as the two clashed.
Hernandez was shot twice in the neck and back by the teenager rapper, according to police.
In this case, police suspect it was gang-related, and they are investigating. Thirdside Gang members have been linked to Hernandez, according to law enforcement sources.
As of Thursday, Perez awaited arraigned in Manhattan Criminal Court.
