T.J. Holmes is divorcing wife Marilee Fiebig amid his relationship with Amy Robach
A source close to the case tells E! News that the GMA3: What You Need to Know co-anchor has filed for divorce from Fiebig, an attorney, after nearly 13 years of marriage.
The two have been married since March 2010, and they have a daughter named Sabine who is nine years old.
Just one month after images of Holmes and his GMA3 co-anchor Amy Robach, who is married to actor Andrew Shue, leaked online, Holmes and Fiebig have decided to break their marriage.
Images and video posted by Daily Mail on November 30 show Holmes and Robach enjoying a night out at a Manhattan bar, getting into a car, and heading off to a secluded cabin in the woods.
A separate source familiar to the issue informed E! News on December 14 that the coworkers are “very much together,” despite the fact that the couple has not commented on the dating rumours that were sparked by these photographs.
Holmes and Robach have continued to draw attention to themselves in the weeks after their relationship suspicions first began to circulate.
Following the publication of the photos on December 2, it appeared that Shue had deleted all but one of his Instagram images featuring Robach. While Robach and Holmes’ marital status remains unknown, they did finalise the sale of their residence one week prior to the release of the images.
While on television for the Good Morning America show on December 3, Holmes seemed to make light of the situation by saying, “It’s been a great week.” The other anchor then said, “Speak for yourself.” Holmes and Robach were taken off the show three days later to undergo an internal assessment.
On the 26th of December, they were seen arriving in Atlanta together, thus things between them seemed to be going well. Photos show Holmes with her arm around Robach as they push their suitcases through the airport.
Fiebig has remained silent about the divorce petition and subsequent events.
Holmes shared a window into their marriage two years ago, when she wrote a piece on her “grace and patience” in honour of their 10th wedding anniversary.
“10 years ago, Marilee Feibig married me,” Holmes posted on Facebook in 2020. “And despite my best efforts, she remained married to me the past 10 years. That’s not hyperbole. I’m not being dramatic. I gave her plenty of reasons, excuses, and opportunities to walk her fine ass out the doooooooor.”
Then he explained, “Asking her for another 10 years would be too much. Another 10 months? That may even be a stretch. If she gave me another 10 weeks, I should consider myself lucky.”
