T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach, hosts of Good Morning America, allegedly plan to sue ABC if necessary. Holmes and Robach, who were fired from their ABC show when it was revealed they were having an affair while still married to other people, have reportedly engaged attorneys to sue the network over the controversy.
According to Blavity, rumours had it that the two ABC newsreaders started dating in secret in 2022, when they were both preparing to run the New York City Half Marathon. Photos of the couple kissing and holding hands in a bar or car were posted online.
The two are reportedly upset that ABC hasn’t explained why it pulled them on air a month ago, as reported by TMZ’s sources.
According to our sources, both Robach and Holmes have retained the services of high-profile Los Angeles attorneys: Brettler for Robach and George for Holmes. If ABC decides to take the couple off the air or dismisses them, the attorneys, according to TMZ, are prepared to launch a lawsuit.
A racial bias may be at play between Holmes (who is Black) and Robach (who is white), according to the source.
An anonymous source asked TMZ, “Has ABC ever used the morals or conduct clause to fire or discipline two consenting adults at equal levels when both were white?”
