Suzume no Tojimari: Synopsis
Suzume’s journey begins in a quiet town in Kyushu (southwestern Japan), where she meets a young man who says, “I’m looking for a door,” according to the synopsis. “What Suzume discovers is a single weathered door standing upright in the midst of ruins, as if protected from whatever disaster struck.” Suzume reaches for the knob, seemingly drawn by its strength… Doors start to open one by one across Japan, wreaking havoc on anyone who comes close. To avoid further disaster, Suzume must close these portals.”
