Street Fighter 6 adds new characters Zangief, Cammy, Lily and more
During Sony’s State of Play event on Thursday, Capcom announced many new features for Street Fighter 6, including the inclusion of three previously rumoured characters to the roster: Cammy, Lily, and Zangief. In total, there will be 18 playable characters at launch for Street Fighter 6.
Super Street Fighter 2 saw Cammy’s debut, and she returns with her signature arsenal of strikes, including Spiral Arrow, Cannon Spike, Hooligan Combo, and the Super Art moves Killer Bee Spin and Delta Red Assault. Cammy’s King Street stage has been featured in a new gameplay trailer. Cammy White’s fresh appearance and low-cut routines have won over many fans.
Like Street Fighter stalwart T. Hawk, brand-new character Lily is from the Thunderfoot people. But Lily is prepared for the street fight with her trusty pair of war clubs, and she isn’t about to let a missed punch or kick derail her. She is a new member of SF6 together with Lily, Jamie, Kimberly, Manon, Marisa, and JP.
There he is, Zangief. In other words, you are familiar with Zangief. His origin may be traced back to Street Fighter 2! Such a relief! He may enjoy Street Fighter 6 to his fullest by hammering away at his enemies with Cyclone Lariats and Screw Piledrivers. How handsome he is!
All of the characters in Capcom’s flagship fighting game sequel have been shown for months, so although new glances at Zangief and Cammy are intriguing, there aren’t many surprises left in store. As luck would have it, Street Fighter 6 is just around the corner. The next-generation fighting game from Capcom will be out on June 2 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox One Series.
