Stranger Things Millie Bobby Brown says she’s “Ready” to leave the show
Stranger Things Millie Bobby Brown says she’s “Ready” to leave the show. We’ve watched Stranger Things’ youthful cast grow up for most of the last decade. When the show starts in 2016, most of the series’ lead actors were young teenagers. In their late teens and early twenties, they’re ready for the next phase of their life, and MBB is making it clear.
In a new interview, the 19-year-old performer said she’s “ready” to leave Eleven on the Netflix series, which is filming its fifth and final season.
“I’m definitely ready to wrap up. I feel like there’s a lot of the story that’s been told now, and we know of it, it’s been in our lives for a very long time. But I’m very ready to say goodbye to this chapter of my life and open new ones up,” Millie recently told Seventeen, adding that, though she’s ready to move on, she will always be “really grateful” for the show.

She may have to wait longer. MBB’s co-star Finn Wolfhard recently hinted that Stranger Things’ final season won’t air until 2025, despite the Duffer Brothers’ 2022 announcement.

“By the time it comes out, I will be 22, I think, and I started working on the show at 12. That is insane,” Finn hinted at 2025 in a GQ video. This is one of many Stranger Things 5 details we know, though Netflix has yet to announce a release date. According to Seventeen, Stranger Things 5 will begin filming in June 2023, thus Finn’s calculations are likely correct.
Millie Bobby Brown will appear at Stranger Things events like red carpets and premieres to promote the final season, even though she will leave Eleven this summer.

Assuming she’s not participating in the series spinoffs, this is. MBB’s Eleven spinoff was rumored for 2021. The Duffer Brothers have stated the Stranger Things universe will continue after the fifth and final season, disproving one popular belief.
“I’ve read these rumors that there’s going to be an Eleven spinoff, that there’s gonna be a Steve and Dustin spinoff,” the Duffer Brothers said on the Happy Sad Confused podcast in 2022. “That’s not interesting to [us] because we’ve done all that. We’ve spent, I don’t know how many hours exploring all of that. So it’s very different.”
How much different? “1000% different,” said the siblings. This leaves Stranger Things viewers with too many questions and, as usual, not enough answers, but Finn Wolfhard broke the code, so why can’t you!?
