Steam Summer Sale this year will be starting soon
Anyone who plays PC games knows that Steam dominates the market. Valve’s client dominates despite competition from GOG and Epic Games Store. The Steam Summer Sale is the most anticipated sale of the year, and it appears like this year’s extravaganza is just around the corner.
Steam Summer Sale 2022 will begin next Thursday, June 23, and end on July 7. SteamDB, which tracks storefront statistics, includes a countdown to the event’s start. Unofficially, things will start at 10am PST / 1pm EST / 6pm BST. Games that were discounted last year may return, according to SteamDB.
Halo: The Masterchief Collection and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice was on sale during Steam’s 2021 summer sale. Even older titles like The Witcher 3 and Batman Arkham Knight were heavily reduced. Left 4 Dead 2 and Portal 2 were also less than $2. Summer is an exciting time for gamers who utilize Steam. Due to cheap games, some may spend more than usual.
This summer’s sale could be intriguing with the release of Elden Ring and Dying Light 2. That doesn’t mean these games will be discounted, but gamers will be watching. The valve was formerly known for their games, but today they’re a PC storefront powerhouse. The corporation struck gold when it introduced Steam in 2003, and ongoing revenues are keeping it strong.
