Spider-Man: No Way Home Trailer Worlds Collide, a multiverse of Villains Return
The official trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home, the next episode in the superhero franchise starring Tom Holland – and, in this case, Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange – was released on Tuesday by Sony Pictures and Marvel. The film will be released exclusively in theatres on December 17th.
The plot centers around the first time Spider-identity Man is exposed. When Peter Parker enlists the help of Doctor Strange to restore his secret, the spell tears a hole in their world, unleashing the most formidable enemies ever to face a Spider-Man in any realm.
Electro, Doc Oc, and Green Goblin from the Spiderverse are among the evil baddies who appeared in today’s video. What didn’t show up was what Marvel fans believe is in the works: that opening up the universe will allow alternate Spider-Man versions to enter, who many believe will be Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield from earlier movies.
Zndaya, Jacob Batalon, Jon Favreau, and Marisa Tomei are among the cast members, with Alfred Molina reprising his role as Doc Oc.
Jon Watts returns to direct the new film, which was written by Chris McKenna and Eric Sommers and is based on a Stan Lee and Steve Ditko comic. Producers are Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal. Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, JoAnn Perritano, Rachel O’Connor, Avi Arad, and Matt Tolmach serve as executive producers.
