Sons of the Forest delayed again to February 2023
The release date of Sons of the Forest has been pushed back from May 20 of this year to February 23 of the following year, 2023. The game’s initial release date of May 2022 has been pushed back to October. Unlike its rivals in the survival-horror genre, Sons of the Forest is an action-horror survival game in which you are stranded on an island inhabited by mutant cannibals. As the follow-up to The Forest, the tale has players searching for a lost person on a lonely island. The game is a direct follow-up to The Forest, which came out in 2014, and continues Erik Leblanc’s search for his son Timmy after their plane crashed.
Sons of the Forest, the highly anticipated open-world survival game and a follow-up and critically acclaimed sequel to The Forest, has seen its Sons of the Forest release date bumped up to next year. The announcement was accompanied by a brief teaser that suggested Sons of the Forest will be just as terrifying as The Forest, with scarier monsters, including one with a massive mouth full of razor-sharp fangs. Details on the plot of Sons of the Forest have been scarce since it was initially revealed in 2019, one year after The First Forest was launched, but fans have speculated that we may play as Timmy, a child from the first game. While this revelation was a disappointment to any lovers of The Forest, now you can see the extra development time is being put to excellent use.
The company tweeted about the delay on Wednesday, along with the price of the sequel: $29.99. The game is expected to come out later this year. The new delay is only the second one revealed for the game, but it has been in development for a long time with no release date, leaving fans wondering when they could finally get to play the game for nearly three years now since it was first announced in 2019.
Its legendary survival game is simply one of the longest-running hits in the Steam survival genre, usually boasting hundreds of players and regularly experiencing an increase in interest rates, which puts it amongst the system’s best-performing hits. You can keep yourself occupied till the release of its cult survival game in 2019 with any of the similar titles now available. The push, according to the tweet, is claimed to be final, with developer Endnight Games having time to add the last touches to Sons of the Forest before ultimately coming out next year for PC on Steam.
