The movie’s summary states, “Sniper: The White Raven is based on a factual story and depicts the Russo-Ukrainian War from a personal perspective. The protagonist of this tale of self-sacrifice is a pacifist whose ambitions and goals are dashed when soldiers break into his home. He will be forced to face his own values, make challenging decisions, and bear a heavy price as a result of his fight for justice. This film, which was produced in the area by a Ukrainian team and features Ukrainian voices throughout and dramatises the war that has been simmering for almost ten years, is immensely topical.
