Skechers Says Kanye West Was ‘Escorted’ Out of Building After Arriving ‘Unannounced’
According to Skechers, Kanye West visited their Manhattan Beach, California headquarters on Wednesday, only one day after he officially ended his relationship with Adidas.
The shoe firm said in a statement that the rapper and his party showed up “unannounced” and had to be “escorted” out of the building by two executives.
West “engaged in unauthorized filming.” according to sketchers.
A partnership with West is not something Skechers is even remotely thinking about, and the firm has no plans to do so. “We condemn his recent divisive remarks and do not tolerate antisemitism or any other form of hate speech.”
After Adidas severed its lucrative Yeezy collaboration with West, citing the company’s “does not tolerate antisemitism and any other sort of hate speech.” West visited Skechers less than a day after.
GAP, which has already cut ties with West, promised to take everything made as part of the disbanded cooperation off the shelves of all of its retail locations.
After weeks of public anger over the Grammy winner’s violent antisemitic rants, all of West’s endorsement arrangements have fallen through.
This past weekend, a neo-nazi group in Los Angeles erected banners on a 405 Freeway bridge that featured antisemitic symbols and made references to West.
Numerous famous people have spoken out against West over his remarks, with Lizzo, John Legend, Jamie Lee Curtis, and others leading the charge, while a social media campaign started by Jessica Seinfeld has garnered widespread support for Jewish people.
Following West’s antisemitic comments, on Tuesday, NFL star Aaron Donald and NBA player Jaylen Brown both revealed they had left West’s Donda Sports agency.
