Serena Williams titles: Complete list of all the titles, including singles and doubles, she has won so far
Legendary tennis player Serena Williams is prepared to “evolve away” from the sport she ruled like any other at the US Open 2022 after a 27-year professional career. The 40-year-old revealed at the beginning of this month in an essay for Vogue magazine that wanting another child was one of the factors motivating her to avoid going to court. Tennis fans are sad that she is leaving the sport, even though her departure wasn’t totally unexpected since she hadn’t played in nearly a year.
In a press conference prior to the US Open, Naomi Osaka stated that her “legacy is so big to the point where you can’t even define it in words.” With respect to the Big Three, Serena might be “the largest power in the sport,” as the four-time Grand Slam winner described it. Williams is regarded as one of the true game-changers and one of the most successful tennis players in history. Her forceful and aggressive performance, which is now typical on the WTA Tour, improved the game on the court. Off the court, she and her older sister Venus continued the legacy of Arthur Ashe and Althea Gibson by inspiring a new generation of black athletes, like Osaka and Coco Gauff.
