“Scream 6 – Dermot Mulroney to Joins horror Cast and Revealed First Character Details”
Dermot Mulroney will join the cast of Scream 6 and enter the world of horror
Scream 6: Release date
Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, who directed this year’s Scream, are poised to direct the picture, which will begin production this summer. The plot of the sixth instalment is still being kept under wraps, with a tentative release date of March 31, 2023.
Scream 6: Cast
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Mulroney will play a cop. He is most recognised for his portrayal opposite Julia Roberts in My Best Friend’s Wedding. The odds of his surviving aren’t in his favour because this is a role that hasn’t always gone well for people in the Scream universe. Mulroney will join a cast that includes Melissa Barrera, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding, and Jenna Ortega, all of whom appeared in Scream in 2022.
Returning actors Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, David Arquette, and Marley Shelton featured in Scream 2022. Jack Quaid (The Boys), Melissa Barrera (Vida), Jenna Ortega (The Babysitter: Killer Queen), Mason Gooding (Booksmart), Dylan Minnette (13 Reasons Why), Kyle Gallner (Ghosts of War), Jasmin Savoy Brown (The Leftovers), and Mikey Madison (The Leftovers) were among the franchise’s newcomers (Better Things).
Other details
The first picture, released in 1996, was a surprise hit upon its release, helping to revitalise the horror genre for the decade and being the highest-grossing slasher film of all time until last year’s Halloween reboot dethroned it. The popularity of the first film created a franchise with three sequels, the first of which was just as successful as the first, while the other two had mixed reviews and mediocre box office returns.
