Ricky Martin to testify incest accusations against him with nephew
Lawyers for Ricky Martin have stated that the allegations against him are incorrect. Because he unequivocally denies all of allegations, he intends to take them to court.
He is suspected of a crime involving incest, which may land him in prison for up to 50 years. Famous musician will testify in Puerto Rico against his nephew.
On behalf of his 21-year-old nephew, who alleges that he had sexual contact with him, the musician will appear virtually through zoom in court, as reported.
Ricky Martin’s lawyers claimed in a statement that the charges against him that led to a protection order were “The allegations against Ricky Martin, leading to a protection order, are completely false,”
“We are confident that when the true facts come to light in this matter, our client Ricky Martin will be fully vindicated.”
Days earlier, defenders of the musician claimed that one of Ricky Martin’s siblings had confirmed that his 21-year-old nephew suffers from mental health issues.
It has been claimed by several media outlets that Ricky may face up to 50 years behind bars for an incest-related felony, but sources tell that the civil restraining order probe is the only one that is currently being pursued.
Martin responded to his nephew’s charges on Twitter on July 3rd.
When asked about the “completely false allegations,” he added, “I will respond through the judicial process with the facts and dignity I am known for,” according to a statement.
