Ricky Martin may face 50 year sentence for assaulting his nephew
We just found out that Ricky Martin was accused of domestic assault, but the identity of the alleged victim was concealed by Law 54. On the other hand, Eric Martin, the singer’s other brother, came forward to shed light on the mystery. It is the artist’s nephew, Dennis Yadiel Sanchez, who has filed the formal complaint.
The seven-month relationship ended because the victim claims Ricky Martin physically and psychologically abused him. Given that the accuser is the artist’s own nephew, the repercussions for him have changed dramatically.
Fifty years in prison is a possible sentence for Ricky Martin.
If Ricky Martin is found to be responsible for this crime, he faces a maximum of 50 years in prison. The laws of Puerto Rico specify the above in regards to incest.
The spokesman confirmed that Ricky Martin’s relationship with his 21-year-old nephew ended a few months ago, and this media says that the violence for which the musician is charged occurred because “he would not have accepted the separation” so he began to call him persistently and persecute him.
Against his nephew’s accusation, the musician and his legal team are formulating a defence. The trial will commence on July 21, that day Dennis Yadiel Sanchez will answer questions before the court. According to the lawyers representing Ricky Martin, the singer’s nephew was recently exposed by a woman who said he harassed her and threatened to ruin her life.
“We are confident that when the true facts come to light in this matter, our client Ricky Martin will be fully vindicated,” the singer’s law team writes in a statement.
From the same source, they sought to discredit the magistrate’s decision to issue a restraining order against Ricky Martin due to the aforementioned allegations of domestic abuse.
