Rebel Wilson announced her first baby born by surrogacy
Wilson’s first child was born via surrogate. On Monday, the actress took to Instagram to shock the world with the arrival of her daughter, Royce Lillian.
“I can’t even describe the love I have for her, she’s a beautiful miracle,” wrote the 42-year-old actor. “I am forever grateful to everyone who has been involved, (you know who you are), this has been years in the making…but particularly wanted to thank my gorgeous surrogate who carried her and birthed her with such grace and care.”
Wilson expressed gratitude to the woman who carried her child. She also posted an Instagram story photo of herself with pink balloons.
Wilson told People Magazine earlier this year that she plans to have a baby in 2020, and that this motivation for her “year of health” is to prepare for motherhood. She said she felt it was too late to start fertility treatments when she was 39, but that she found inspiration in women like Janet Jackson, who did the same.
In the past week, speculation has grown that Wilson is engaged to her longtime partner, Ramona Agruma. Nonetheless, the celebrity posted a photo to her Instagram story denying the rumour and writing, “Thanks for the well wishes but we are NOT engaged!”
In May, Wilson said she was “happily in a relationship,” and in June, she and Agruma, the creator of the eco-friendly clothing line Lemon Ve Limon, went public with their relationship.
