RB Brian Robinson was shot by gun is stable as of now
The Washington, D.C., police department verified that Washington Commanders rookie running back Brian Robinson was shot on Sunday during an attempted robbery or carjacking. NFL Network Insider Mike Garafolo said he was taken to the hospital and is currently in stable condition.
After receiving a call, police in Washington, DC, reportedly went to the 1000 block of H street NE, where they discovered Robinson, the alleged victim of the shooting, suffering from two gunshot wounds to his lower body.
“We have been made aware that Brian Robinson Jr. was the victim of an attempted armed robbery or carjacking in Washington, D.C,” the Commanders stated in a statement on Sunday. “He sustained non-life-threatening injuries and is currently being treated at the hospital, where team officials are on-site with him. We ask that you please respect Brian’s privacy at this time.”
Two suspects, according to the police, made their getaway, and a gun was later located nearby.
Robinson was taken by the Commanders in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft. With 14 carries for 57 yards and a touchdown in two preseason games this month, Robinson showed his worth.
