Rapper Gangsta Boo found dead at the age of 43
Three 6 Mafia’s Gangsta Boohas passed away. At the time, she was 43 years old.
DJ Paul K.O.M., a fellow member of the group and fellow DJ, verified the death of Lola Mitchell by posting a photo of her DJing online in homage, as reported.
Unfortunately, we don’t know what caused her death.
On Sunday at around 4 p.m. local time, Mitchell was reportedly discovered dead, according to Fox 13 in Tennessee.
Rapper 2 Chainz wrote, “Mannnn,” in response to Paul’s Instagram photo, and the comments were swamped with condolences.
As Lil Jon put it, “Man we was jus [sic] together 3 weeks ago. Quenn [sic], sleep soundly.
The “Late Night Tip” rapper joined Three 6 Mafia after K-9, another female member. After performing on the first five albums of the band, Mitchell moved on to release a number of solo efforts.
Mitchell joined the group Three 6 Mafia in the 1990s, but she left in the early 2000s to release a string of solo albums and tapes. She made appearances on tracks by such well-known rappers as Gucci Mane, OutKast, The Game, and others.
The Queen of Memphis has only lately begun collaborating with media sources like Uproxx to release new songs and live shows. She collaborated with the publication to release a video of a live performance of “I’m Fresh” in the first week of December.
“#wassupmane Had fun doing this live session of “I’m Fresh” (produced by my brother @nickhook) at @[email protected] S/O to the ppl behind the scenes that made this happen! #theBooPrint #BooRoxx #effortless,” she wrote for video.
The famous musician only tweeted a funny photo of herself and her pal MJG three days ago, captioning it “MJG over my erratic behaviour #pressure.”
