Aida Osman, real-life artist KaMillion, Jonica Booth, Devon Terrell, and RJ Cyler star in the eight-episode series, which premieres on July 21, 2022, and closes on September 1, 2022.
Rap Sh!t will be executive produced by Issa Rae and Montrel McKay for HOORAE, as well as Jonathan Berry (Insecure) and Dave Becky (Master of None, Russian Dolls) for 3 Arts Entertainment, along with showrunner Syreeta Singleton, with Rae also scripting the pilot.
Other details
Co-executive producers include hip hop duo Yung Miami and JT of City Girls, as well as Kevin “Coach K” Lee and Pierre “P” Thomas for Quality Control Films and Sara Rastogi for HOORAE. Rae’s audio content business Raedio will oversee the series’ music.
