Powerball prize for Saturday has grown to $483 million
If someone can correctly predict the winning numbers for Saturday night’s first Powerball drawing of 2022, the new year might get off to a great start.
If you win, you’ll walk away with an estimated $347.7 million in winnings, making the Powerball jackpot worth $483 million.
According to Powerball.com, there was no winner in Wednesday night’s drawing.
Powerball: 11 on Wednesday’s drawing: 39, 6, 9, 33, 2.
According to The Washington Post, the last time the biggest prize was won was on October 4, when a ticket for $699.8 million was purchased in Morro Bay, California.
An estimated $1.586 billion Powerball jackpot was won on January 13th, 2016, by three tickets purchased in California, Florida, and Tennessee, according to the Associated Press.
With the addition of a third weekly drawing in August, the Powerball prize grew even quicker. In addition to the 50 states and the District of Columbia, Powerball is also available in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
There are drawings on Monday, Wednesdays and Saturdays, respectively.
