Pop Singer Aaron Carter cause of death
The body of former child star Aaron Carter, now 34 years old, was discovered in his Los Angeles home after police responded to a call reporting a possible drowning.
According to TMZ’s claim, murder detectives were dispatched to Carter’s residence as per protocol, but there has been no indication of foul play in his death.
A spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department told the New York Post that when officers arrived at the house at 10:58 a.m., they discovered a body.
“It is with great regret to confirm Aaron Carter was found unresponsive this a.m. in his home in Palmdale, CA,” they wrote with profound sadness.
“The family has been notified and will be flying out to Los Angeles. Aaron worked very hard towards the end of his life in recovery, to be a good father and to make amends with his family.”
The formal cause of death has not been made public, and it is unlikely to be revealed until an autopsy and coroner’s report have been finalised. It may take up to six months for this to be completed.
The Backstreet Boys, which included Carter’s older brother Nick, propelled Carter to popularity in 1997.
At age 9, he debuted with a self-titled album in 1997.
Prince, the infant he shares with ex-fiancee Melanie Martin, is the only family he leaves behind. The birth occurred in November of 2021 for the now-divorced couple.
After losing custody of his son, Carter checked into the Los Angeles-based Lionrock Recovery rehabilitation clinic for a month-long outpatient treatment in September 2022.
Carter said in an interview that he was hoping the treatment would help him give up marijuana and calm down with Ms. Martin.
