Pokémon UNITE: On November 19 Decidueye will join Pokémon UNITE
On Nov. 19, TiMi Studio has confirmed that Decidueye will be joining Pokémon UNITE as the game’s newest playable character following a brief teaser earlier this week.
After much anticipation, it is safe to say that a build focused on ranged attacks, stat bonuses, and various modifiers will be brought to the MOBA by the grass/ghost type.
As the third post-launch Pokémon in the Ranged Attacker class after Gardevoir and Sylveon, Decidueye is still classified as a Ranged Attacker despite its gameplay being vastly different from the other Pokémon already available in the game. The Alolan starter, despite the lack of class diversification, should offer a unique experience due to its emphasis on supporting others and scoring at the right time.
We learned earlier this week that Decidueye’s ability, called Long Reach, will allow the Pokémon to deal more damage to opponents that are hit from a distance, which perfectly complements its moveset, which includes Leaf Storm, Spirit Shackle, and others.
With the release of Decidueye, new Holowear, avatar items, and perhaps even a balance adjustment are likely to be added to the game’s inventory. The Checkered Style: Sylveon outfit, taken from the 184.108.40.206 update data, has already started rolling out.
