Pokemon Scarlet & Violet: How to Evolve Dreepy into Drakloak
While Pokemon Scarlet and Violet introduce a large number of new Pokémon, it also reintroduces a number of fan favourites from previous games. Dreepy, the original member of the Dragapult family, is one such example. Due to its lacklustre stats, most trainers in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will want to know as soon as possible how to evolve Dreepy into Drakloak.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet – Evolve Dreepy into Drakloak
When it comes to evolving Dreepy into Drakloak in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, we have some good news and some terrible news for you. As long as it reaches level 50 or higher, your Dreepy will automatically transform into a Drakloak; no additional steps are required.
However, you’ll have to spend a lot of time levelling up with a Pokemon that is far weaker than the rest of your team and levels much more slowly than the rest of them. Fortunately, you can avoid wasting time in this area by taking use of one of several available alternatives. One option is to use the Exp.
Sweets that instantly give your Dreepy hunks of XP. Exp. Candies come in a variety of sizes, with the larger varieties like Exp. Candies L and XL awarding more points. Exp. Candies can be found by investigating item glints strewn about the globe, or by completing Tera Raid Battles and looting the vanquished or captured Tera Pokemon for their prizes.
Rare Candies are also a good choice, particularly as your Dreepy levels up. Unlike Exp. Candies, which have a limit on how many Experience Points you can earn, these can be used at any time to level up a character, regardless of how many XP are needed. The one catch is that they’re extremely hard to come by and usually can’t be acquired outside of specific set things.
After that, your Dreepy can just hang out in your party and gain XP without ever having to enter combat. However, this may cause Dreepy to gain fewer Experience Points for each Pokemon it defeats, so it may take longer to level it up than if you were to send it out to battle on a more regular basis.
