Pokemon Scarlet and Violet: How To Get Shiny Starters
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet do not let you begin with a shiny starter, but there is a chance that you may eventually acquire one. However, like other shiny endeavors, this would take some time and patience. It is important to note that while it is possible, you are not guaranteed to use this method to unlock a shiny starter. Scarlet and Violet do not allow you to restart the game indefinitely in order to obtain the shiny version of a starter Pokémon, as previous Pokemon games did.
Shiny lock means that no matter how many times the player soft resets the game, the starter Pokemon will not become shiny. Players typically reset a particular game to pursue shiny starter Pokemon because they never know if they will be shiny when they select them. The three starters you can choose from at the beginning of the game are specifically Shiny Lock Pokemon. In Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (SV), starters are shiny-locked, which means that no matter how many times you reset, the Sprigatito, Fuecoco, or Quaxly you choose at the start of the game will not become shiny. As a result, you cannot start the game by searching for Shinies.
Unfortunately, the initial Sprigatito, Fuecoco, or Quaxly you receive from Academy Director Clever in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is shine-locked. This means that no matter how many times you relive the game’s opening sequence, the Sprigatito can never become shiny. Only when they hatch from eggs or are traded to someone who already has a shiny Sprigatito, Fuecoco, or Quaxly will the starter Sprigatitos become shiny. Shiny Pokemon have been there consistently throughout the entire game.
Scarlet and Violet may only be found in the wild or by breeding a Pokemon during picnics; they are not available in gifts, chests, or gaming events. Many people may be asking whether Pokemon Scarlet and Violet would adopt shiny locks for particular species, such as starter, legendary, and mythical Pokemon, in line with recent video games. Some people might be wondering if it’s feasible to get a shiny version by repeatedly beginning the game since you always get the starter when you start any Pokemon game.
There is something to be said about having the first Pokemon you obtain in the game be the shiny one; therefore, many people prefer taking up the challenge. However, trying is typically not realistic if your purpose is to get the starter Pokemon since breeding would be quicker in most games. Attacks destroy the spawn, making more Pokemon appear in their place. Importantly, your Pokemon with the “Let’s Go!” characteristic is unable to attack Shiny Pokemon and will not engage in such combat. New Pokemon spawn using the auto-combat mechanic to replace those wiped out by Pokemon in your group.
