Pokemon Go: How to use a Golden Lure
If a player has gotten a Golden Lure Module and wants to use it, they can do so by selecting it from the drop-down menu in the “lure” section of a PokeStop. These Lures have a 30-minute lifespan, the same as that of regular PokeStops.
These modules, in addition to Gimmighoul coins, will drop more things than normal, as detailed on the PokemonGoLive website.
Golden Lure Modules don’t earn event bonuses.
It does not appear that the three-hour length of other Lures used in events will be extended to Golden Lure Modules at this time. It has been confirmed by Niantic that the unique Lures will not receive the bonus during the next Festival of Colors event, as reported by PokemonGoHub in a tweet.
This most likely also applies to in-game events like Community Days.
