Pokemon GO: How to Catch & Evolve Bounsweet
The cute tiny berry known as Bounsweet is the Fruit Pokemon. Though it learns the move Stomp and develops into Steenee in the main series Pokemon games, GO deviates slightly from this. Even Stomp isn’t taught to this version of the small berry. Everything you need to know about capturing and evolving Bounsweet in Pokemon GO can be found here.
Pokemon GO: How to Catch Bounsweet
Going outside (or staying inside) and catching a Bounsweet is the first order of business. If you’re playing during that week (ending Apr. 26, 2023), you can catch one of these popular Grass-type Pokemon as part of Timed Research. If you missed out on the action at the beginning, don’t worry; it can reappear pretty much anyplace.
Although its diminutive size makes it difficult to see, its magenta coloring helps it stand out against the verdant grass. It’s not hard to capture Bounsweet, but you’ll need a lot of Poke Balls due to its diminutive size.

Pokemon Go: How to Evolve Bounsweet
Although Bounsweet is adorable, catching them all is a must. In addition, Tsareena, the highest-level developed form, is a vast improvement above the original. Bounsweet can evolve into Steenee without learning Stomp, as was previously mentioned. Pokemon GO streamlines the evolution process.
Bounsweet needs 25 Bounsweet Candy in order to grow into Steenee. The Bounsweet family is delightfully simple, especially in comparison to other Pokemon lines that have unique evolution criteria across different games (such inverting your phone or DS to evolve Inkay).
Steenee can evolve into Tsareena, its final form, with 100 Bounsweet Candy and no other prerequisites. It’s convenient not to assign a new Pokemon as a companion if you don’t think it will be beneficial.
That’s the one downer of this evolutionary track, though. None of Bounsweet, Steenee, or Tsareena are particularly helpful in raids or player versus player combat. For raids that require Grass-type attackers, Tsareena is a below-average choice. There are a ton of better Grass Pokemon that are much easier to obtain.
