Pokémon Go: Dedenne a new Super Cute Monster introduced During Festival Of Lights
Dedenne, the adorable electric and fairy-type Pokémon, will be the next monster in the mobile game, according to the official Pokémon Go website. Dedenne will be available from November 5 at 10 a.m. to November 14 at 8 p.m. local time during the Festival of Lights, a Diwali-inspired event.
During the Festival of Lights event, trainers will be able to strengthen their bonds with their Pokémon through event bonuses, such as friendship levels increasing twice as fast, gifts providing more rewards, and players being able to open 45 gifts per day, in addition to enjoying some in-game fireworks during the event’s opening days.
On November 7 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time, players in India will have a bonus event where Dedenne and Blitzle, another electric-type, will appear more frequently in the wild, as well as doubled catch candy.
The game’s shop will also include a free Festival of Lights T-shirt, as well as Dedenne-themed stickers and items for players to wear on their avatars.
The Festival of Lights event takes place in the final month of Season of Mischief in the Pokémon-themed AR game. Players who have been completing the season’s Special Research storey, which follows the mythical Pokémon Hoopa, are assured that there will be a special event at the end of the month that “might have something to do with Hoopa,” according to the site.
Meanwhile, Team Rocket has gotten wind of this light-themed joy and intends to ruin it with some darkness. On November 9, Team Go Rocket members will appear more frequently at PokéStops and in balloons, which will be a pain for anyone who is just spinning for gifts. However, more information about their nefarious methods will be revealed in the near future.
Along with Dedenne, light-themed pocket monsters Pikachu, Magnemite, Slugma, Whismur, Electrike, Blitzle, Cottonee, Tynamo, and Fennekin will appear more frequently as wild encounters, with the possibility of finding a shiny Darumaka or Litwick.
