Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl: Super Contests Guide
There are Super Contests that you can enter for your Pokémon in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. It’s common for contests to have a visual and dancing component. Using our Super Contests guide, you may learn how to improve your visual and dancing scores and win in many competitions.
Unlocking SUPER CONTESTS
As soon as you pass the second gym in Hearthome City and enter the city proper, you can begin participating in Pokémon contests. In the contest centre, you’ll given a dress and have the option to sign up for contests as soon as you arrive.
SUPER CONTESTS COME IN A WIDE VARIETY OF STYLES AND LEVELS.
You can enter your Pokémon in a variety of contests, based on the kind that best suits them. As well as beauty and cleverness, there is also strength and grit.
In addition, there are contest ranks such as “Normal,” “Great,” “Ultra,” and “Master” as well. It is necessary to win the rank before you may participate in higher rankings.
For the Shining Contests, you need a Contest Star Ribbon, which can only be obtained by being the Star of the Show in Master rank in all five categories of the Pokémon Contest.
Improving your visual score by applying POFFINS and STICKERS to your walls.
Your Pokémon Poffins must be fed to enhance their visual score, and the Poffin must also improve the state of the contest in which you’re participating in.
As an example, you’ll need to give your Turtwig a Poffin that boosts its Cleverness condition if you want to enter it in the competition.
When making Poffins, you’ll need to take into account which berries are best suited for which situations.
The more stickers you have in your Ball Capsule, the better.
SCORING IN DANCE SEGMENT
Super Contests’ dancing portion is a straightforward one-button rhythm game. As the note gets closer to its destination, you’ll need to tap or hold A. Your dance score will rise if you execute this move flawlessly. That’s all there is to it. Whenever you click the button, you’ll gain points and fill up the Heart Gauge as you go along.
COORDINATING YOUR POKÉMON’S MOVE
Your Pokémon’s ability to move is evaluated in the third of the four categories. You’ll be able to choose one dancing move to perform during the segment. You’ll gain a bonus if you use different moves in coordination with the other contestants.
When the “groove” is positive, meaning your Pokémon has an up arrow next to it, one move can boost the points gained. Over the short term, other manoeuvres may improve the Heart Gauge’s gains.
