Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl: Where to Catch Elekid
Electivire is one of the greatest Electric-type Pokémon in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl, but players must first obtain Elekid, its first form, in order to obtain the electric, no pun intended, powerhouse. With that said, we’ll go through where to find Elekid in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond, how to obtain Elekid in Pokémon Shining Pearl, and how to evolve Elekid in both games.
Elekid Locations in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond
Unfortunately, much like Magby, Magmar, and Magmortar are Shining Pearl-only Pokémon, Elekid, Electabuzz, and Electivire are only available on Pokémon Brilliant Diamond. However, this does not rule out the possibility of obtaining the Pokémon in Shining Pearl, as we will explain how to do so later. Players with Brilliant Diamonds can obtain Elekid by visiting the Grand Underground, notably Whiteout Cave, Stargleam Cavern, Glacial Cavern, or Dazzling Cave. To locate the Pokémon at either location, simply go to either one and exit and enter until you discover the Pokémon. Make sure you catch an Elekid holding an Electirizer if you want to level your Elekid all the way up to an Electivire.
Here’s how to catch the Pokémon in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond in a nutshell:
- Go to the Grand Underground.
- Go to either Whiteout Cave, Stargleam Cavern, Glacial Cavern, or Dazzling Cave.
- Spot an Elekid, battle, and capture it.
How to Get Elekid in Pokémon Shining Pearl
As promised, users of the Shining Pearl edition can obtain Elekid by exchanging with players of the Brilliant Diamond version. In the game’s many Pokémon Centers, you can trade your Pokémon.
How to Evolve Elekid into Electabuzz
You can evolve an Elekid into an Electabuzz by leveling them up to level 30 after obtaining one. Make sure to evolve your Electabuzz into Electirizer once you’ve evolved them into Electabuzz so you may get one of the best Electric-type Pokémon available.
