PnB Rock, a popular rapper shot and killed in Los Angeles at age 30
Both the Los Angeles Times and Rolling Stone reported on Monday that PnB Rock, best known for his 2016 hit song “Selfish,” had been shot and killed during a heist at a Los Angeles restaurant. He was 30.
Police Capt. Kelly Muniz of the Los Angeles Police Department informed the L.A. Times that a gunman entered a Roscoe’s Chicken & Waffles in South Los Angeles, threatened the victim with it, and then shot him before fleeing with his loot. At around 2:00 pm local time, the man was taken to the hospital, where they pronounced him dead
Rakim Hasheem Allen (aka Grundle and PnB Rock), a rapper from Philadelphia, dropped his debut mixtape in 2014.
A year after releasing his first single, “Fleek,” he released “Selfish,” which peaked at No. 16 on the Billboard rap chart and has sold over 3 million copies.

Rock has worked with numerous famous rappers throughout the course of his career, such as 2 Chainz, Russ, Wiz Khalifa, Nicki Minaj, and most recently, Swae Lee of Rae Sremmurd on their upcoming single “Forever Never” (2021).
2017 marked a watershed year for Rock’s career when he was included in XXL’s coveted Freshman Class issue.
His two studio albums, “Catch These Vibes” (2017) and “TrapStar Turnt PopStar” (2019), both reached No. 1 on the Billboard rap chart and No. 4 on the Billboard 200 album chart, respectively, realising his full potential. Migos members Quavo, Diplo, and Tory Lanez all made appearances on the album, while later on the deluxe edition Lil Wayne and Roddy Ricch also contributed songs.
According to posts on their respective Instagram stories, Rock and Stephanie Sibounheuang spent their Sunday at a wedding. Zuri, his 2-year-old daughter with his current partner, and Milan, his daughter from a prior relationship, will miss him terribly.
