Pixy drone by Snap’s production has reportedly stopped
This year in April, during Snap’s annual partner summit, the company debuted its first-ever new Pixy Drone. To inform the ignorant! Snapchat was developed by Snap Inc., which also serves as the name of the corporation. The Pixy pocket drone was the first of its kind to be unveiled by the business. With this new flying drone, users may not only shoot selfies but also film short videos of themselves. But according to a recent story in the Wall Street Journal, Snap has halted construction of its Pixy drone.
Snap seems to have decided to stop making the Pixy Drone as soon as it came out on the market
The new Pix drone is small enough to fit in the palm of a user’s hand yet proficient enough to take off and land on its own. Drone footage is captured automatically, and users may save the photos they take to their Snapchat stories. Snap’s new drone costs $230 and is available now. You can turn on the drone by clicking a button, and you can use other controls to make it hover, reveal, follow, or orbit.
Many video makers will find this drone to be an invaluable tool. The drone only had a 30-minute recording time, though. Snap also offers an extra set of battery packs for its drone, which can be used to extend its flight time. It’s not like other drones of this type, which typically come with spare battery packs. Apparently, after the launch, Snap’s quarterly revenues fell to an all-time low, causing the company’s share price to drop by a massive 40%.
Moreover, it has been pointed out that Snap’s shares have lost 80% of their value in just one year after the introduction of this new drone. The Pixy Drone’s poor sales were a big factor in Snap’s decision to end production of the product, which was already losing money after its initial introduction.
